This professional glass and dishwasher is designed for efficient and reliable operation in bars, restaurants, cafés, hotels, and other professional kitchens where fast washing of glasses, cups, and small dishes is essential. The compact design, electronic controls, and automated functions ensure high washing quality, simple operation, and economical day-to-day use.
A professional dishwasher built for intensive use, the KASTEL FK 50 ESI PRS handles glasses, plates, cutlery and GN 1/1 containers with a 500 × 500 mm basket and a maximum washing height of 340 mm. The machine combines rapid cycle times with consistent hygiene, making it suitable for busy kitchens where speed and cleanliness are essential.
Dishwashers of this type use a closed-loop system where water is heated, pumped through rotating stainless steel arms, and sprayed over the load. The arms ensure even coverage, while the heated water dissolves grease and food residues. A final hot rinse, controlled by the Thermostop system, raises the temperature to the level required for effective disinfection, ensuring every item emerges sanitised. The atmospheric boiler in the PRS system maintains a stable rinse temperature, even during peak demand, while the Break Tank prevents backflow contamination, meeting professional hygiene standards.
Operation begins by loading the basket with glasses, plates or GN containers, then sliding it into the machine. The electronic controls, displayed on an LCD screen, allow selection of cycle duration: 90, 120 or 180 seconds, or a continuous mode for high-volume washing. The machine starts automatically once the door is closed, and the magnetic microswitch ensures safe operation. During the cycle, the double electric dispensers release detergent and rinse aid at the correct stages. After the final rinse, the machine drains and the self-cleaning vertical pump flushes the wash tank, reducing manual maintenance.
The construction is designed for durability and ease of use. Stainless steel washing and rinsing arms resist corrosion and wear, while the partially double-skinned body reduces noise and heat loss. The preformed wash tank simplifies daily cleaning, and the integrated suction and drainage system handles water intake and disposal without external pumps. The machine includes two glass racks (40 × 40 cm), a small cutlery basket, an insert for 12 saucers, and hoses for inlet and drainage.
The 6.55 kW power rating indicates the load it places on the electrical supply, requiring a dedicated circuit in a professional kitchen. The 230 V single-phase connection is standard for most commercial settings, while the 62 kg weight suggests a freestanding unit that can be moved with a trolley but is not portable. The 572 × 633 × 814 mm footprint fits under most worktops, leaving space for loading and unloading.
Cleaning involves wiping the interior and exterior with a damp cloth, removing food debris from the arms and filters, and running the automatic self-cleaning cycle at the end of the day. The preformed tank and vertical pump reduce the need for manual scrubbing, while the stainless steel components resist staining and corrosion.
The PRS system, with its atmospheric boiler and Break Tank, is a key feature for kitchens requiring consistent rinse temperatures and backflow prevention. The machine is supplied with accessories for immediate use, though a water softener is available as an optional extra for areas with hard water.
