KASTEL FK40ESI Glasswasher for Professional Bars & Cafés

A glasswasher built for the pace of a busy bar or café, the KASTEL FK40ESI cleans and sanitises glasses, cups and small plates without the abrasion that dulls rims or clouds surfaces. The machine uses a high-velocity spray of heated water to lift residues, then a hot rinse to sterilise and dry without spotting. A pump circulates the water through stainless steel arms that rotate above and below the load, ensuring every surface is reached. The shorter the cycle, the faster the turnaround; the longer the cycle, the heavier the soil it removes. An electronic control lets the operator choose the right balance for the moment's workload.

Loading is straightforward: the 400 × 400 mm basket slides in on runners, holding two glass racks, a cutlery basket or an insert for saucers. The maximum washing height of 300 mm accommodates most pint glasses, tumblers and coffee cups. Once the door is closed, the machine fills automatically, heats the water to the required temperature, and begins the selected cycle. A Thermostop system holds the rinse until the water reaches the set point, guaranteeing disinfection. At the end of the cycle the pump drains the tank, and a self-cleaning routine flushes the interior to prevent scale and odour.

The body is stainless steel with a partially double-skinned construction that dampens noise and retains heat, reducing energy use between cycles. The wash tank is preformed for easy wiping, and the vertical pump is self-cleaning, cutting down on daily maintenance. A magnetic door microswitch stops the machine if the door is opened mid-cycle, while a non-return valve prevents backflow from the drain, keeping the water supply clean.

The 2.89 kW power rating reflects the load on the electrical circuit; the machine runs on a standard 220-240 V single-phase supply, the norm in professional kitchens. The 37 kg weight allows two people to move it into position without a trolley, and the 455 × 550 mm footprint fits under most bar counters. A water softener is available as an option for areas with hard water.

Cleaning is limited to what the construction requires: wiping the tank and arms daily, checking the detergent and rinse-aid dispensers, and occasionally descaling the heating element if the water is hard. The self-cleaning pump and automatic tank flush reduce the time spent on upkeep.
