Medium-capacity ice storage bin compatible with many ice machines. Suitable for all food industry processes – meat processing, fish markets, and bakeries.
130 kg capacity ice storage bin.
Maximum depth – 1034 mm.
An ice storage tank keeps bulk ice at a stable low temperature so that it remains free-flowing and ready for service throughout a busy shift. The tank does not produce ice; it holds ice transferred from a separate ice machine. Insulation slows the rate at which ambient heat enters the tank, reducing melt loss and extending the usable life of the stored ice. A closing panel on top minimises exposure to warm air and further preserves the ice quality.
The operator loads the tank by opening the top panel and pouring ice from the ice machine into the interior. Once filled, the panel is closed to seal the ice inside. During service, the panel is lifted only when ice is needed, keeping the remaining stock cold. The tank's footprint and weight allow it to be positioned close to the bar or service station, reducing the distance staff must carry ice.
The ST S 150 is constructed entirely of stainless steel, providing a hygienic, corrosion-resistant surface that withstands frequent cleaning. High-density polyurethane foam insulation fills the walls, floor and lid, creating a thermal barrier that maintains low temperatures without active cooling. The top closing panel is included as standard and fits securely to prevent warm air ingress.
The tank's controls are minimal: the top panel opens and closes manually. No electrical supply or temperature setting is required, as the insulation alone preserves the ice.
A capacity of 130 kg means the tank can hold enough ice for a full service period without refilling, reducing the frequency of trips to the ice machine. The 36 kg weight allows the tank to be moved by one person when empty, while the 569 mm width, 850 mm depth and 1048 mm height provide a compact footprint that fits beneath most worktops or in tight storage areas.
Cleaning involves wiping the interior and exterior stainless steel surfaces with a damp cloth and mild detergent. The insulation is sealed within the walls and does not require maintenance. The top panel should be kept closed when not in use to protect the ice from contamination.
The ST S 150 is designed to integrate with Kastel ice machines KQ 150, KS 140 and KS 300, ensuring compatibility with existing equipment.
This model is listed in the Kastel storage and preservation section of the professional catering catalogue.
