A pot and pan washer removes baked-on food and grease from large kitchenware by combining high-pressure water jets with elevated temperatures and detergent. The machine fills a stainless steel tank with fresh water, heats it with an electric element, and circulates it through rotating arms positioned above and below the load. When the operator starts the cycle, the jets strike every surface of the pots, pans and utensils, loosening soil so it drains away with the wastewater. A final hot rinse sanitises the load and accelerates drying, leaving the items ready for the next service.
The operator loads the 1260 × 800 mm basket outside the machine, wheels it into the chamber, and closes the door. The electronic control panel offers four preset programmes—30, 20, 10 or 7 baskets per hour—so the kitchen can match the cycle time to the volume of incoming ware. Once the programme is selected, the machine fills automatically, heats the water, injects detergent from the double electric dispenser, and runs the wash and rinse phases. At the end of the cycle the door unlocks and the basket can be removed. A self-cleaning routine flushes the tank and jets at the close of the day, reducing manual scrubbing.
The body is constructed from stainless steel with a double-shell insulated design that retains heat and dampens operational noise. A 17-litre boiler supplies the rinse water, while a 100-litre tank holds the wash water. Two 2-metre hoses—one inlet, one drain—connect to the building services. A magnetic microswitch on the door prevents the machine from running when open, and a thermostatic safety valve cuts power if the temperature exceeds the set point.
The 15 kW power rating indicates the load the machine places on the electrical supply; it requires a 400 V three-phase circuit capable of delivering the current without tripping breakers. The 372.5 kg weight means the unit must be positioned on a solid floor and moved with a pallet truck or forklift. The footprint of 1436 × 995 mm determines the space it occupies on the kitchen floor, while the adjustable height of 2034 to 2330 mm allows it to fit under standard worktop overhangs or extractor canopies.
Cleaning is limited to daily wiping of the exterior and periodic descaling of the boiler and tank. The self-cleaning cycle at the end of the day flushes out food debris, but the rotating arms and filters should be inspected weekly to ensure unrestricted water flow.
The UK120/80EPRS is one of ten larger models in the KASTEL UK range, designed for medium and large restaurants, hotels and contract caterers. It is positioned in the catalogue under professional dishwashers for heavy-duty warewashing.
