A heating element converts electrical energy into heat through resistance. When current passes through the coiled wire inside, the wire glows and radiates heat outward. In a roller grill, this heat warms the rotating drum evenly, allowing food to cook or keep warm without direct contact with flames or hot surfaces. The element's consistent output ensures uniform temperature across the drum's surface, which is essential for even cooking and preventing hot or cold spots.
To install, the operator first disconnects the power supply. The old element is removed by unscrewing its mounting points, then the new LF element is positioned in the same location. Electrical connections are reattached, ensuring the correct voltage and wattage match the grill's requirements. Once secured, the power is restored, and the grill is tested to confirm the element heats as expected.
This element is designed as a direct replacement for the Roller Grill GR 40E. It fits the original mounting points and electrical specifications, requiring no modifications to the equipment. The 230 V rating matches standard UK commercial power circuits, allowing it to draw the necessary current without overloading the supply.
Cleaning is limited to external inspection for signs of wear or damage, as the element itself is sealed within the grill's housing. Regular checks ensure the connections remain secure and free from corrosion, maintaining safe and efficient operation.
Compatible with Roller Grill GR 40E only, as specified by the manufacturer.
