LF Ignition Plug for Professional Gas Appliances, 7x44 mm

A gas appliance needs a spark to light the burner. This ignition plug produces that spark by generating a high-voltage pulse between two electrodes. When the control system calls for heat, the pulse jumps the gap and ignites the gas stream, starting the flame without manual intervention. The method is standardised across professional kitchens because it is safe, repeatable and removes the need for matches or lighters.

To use the plug, the operator first ensures the appliance is connected to the gas supply and the electrical circuit. The control knob is turned to the ignition position; the plug then fires automatically each time the knob is moved to the ‘on' setting. Once the flame is established, the plug stops firing and the appliance runs normally. If the flame goes out, the safety system cuts the gas and the plug fires again when the knob is returned to the ignition position.
