for REFRIGERATOR AB500
A snap-in gasket creates an airtight seal between a refrigeration door and its cabinet by pressing a flexible strip into a channel around the frame. The strip is shaped to lock into place without adhesive or tools, so it stays aligned and resists the pull of repeated opening. When the door closes, the gasket compresses against the cabinet, blocking warm air from entering and cold air from escaping. This keeps the temperature stable, reduces frost build-up and lowers the load on the compressor.
To fit the gasket, the operator starts at one corner of the door frame and presses the strip into the channel, working along each side until the entire perimeter is covered. The gasket should lie flat with no gaps or twists. Once installed, the door is closed and the seal checked for even compression. If the gasket is damaged or worn, it is pulled out and a new one snapped into the same channel in minutes.
The gasket is made of grey flexible material sized 1315 mm by 717 mm. It is designed as a direct replacement for IARP and Tecfrigo refrigeration units, matching the door dimensions of those brands. The snap-in construction means no additional fixings are needed, and the gasket can be ordered in custom lengths if required.
Cleaning is limited to wiping the surface with a damp cloth to remove dust and spills. No solvents or abrasives should be used, as they can degrade the material and shorten the seal's life. Regular inspection for cracks or flattening ensures the gasket continues to perform its sealing function.
This gasket is listed in the refrigeration spares section of the catalogue.
