LF Snap-In Gasket L1006 – 2 Metre Grey Seal for Commercial Refrigeration

A snap-in gasket creates an airtight seal between the door and the cabinet of a commercial refrigerator or freezer. Instead of being glued or screwed, the gasket presses into a channel moulded into the door frame. The flexible lip compresses against the cabinet edge, blocking warm air from entering and cold air from escaping. This method keeps the temperature stable, reduces energy use and prevents frost build-up inside the unit.

To fit the gasket, the operator starts at one corner of the door, presses the thicker inner edge into the channel, and works along the perimeter. The gasket stretches slightly to follow curves and corners, then snaps securely into place. No adhesive or tools are required, so replacement takes only minutes. Once installed, the door should close with a firm but even resistance; if it swings shut too easily or sticks, the gasket may be twisted or the wrong profile.

The gasket is made of grey PVC with a hollow cross-section that traps insulating air. The outer lip is smooth and slightly tapered to make cleaning easier. The inner edge has a continuous rib that locks into the door channel and prevents the gasket from pulling out during normal use.

The 2000 mm length fits doors that measure approximately two metres along the sealing edge. Because the gasket is supplied in a continuous strip, it can be cut to shorter lengths if needed. The cross-section dimensions—21 mm wide and 15.15 mm high—match the L-1006 profile used by a wide range of professional refrigeration brands.

Cleaning is straightforward: wipe the gasket with a damp cloth and mild detergent, then dry it to prevent mould. Avoid abrasive pads or solvents that can crack the PVC. Check the seal monthly for splits or hardening, and replace it if the door no longer closes tightly.
