LF Snap-In Gasket L1023 – 2 Metre Black Seal for Commercial Fridge Doors

A snap-in gasket creates an airtight seal between a refrigerator door and its cabinet by pressing a flexible strip into a channel on the door frame. The strip is shaped with a hollow bulb that compresses when the door closes, blocking warm air from entering and cold air from escaping. This method keeps the temperature stable inside the cabinet without relying on adhesives or screws, so the gasket can be replaced quickly when it wears or loses its shape.

To fit the gasket, the operator starts at one corner of the door, pressing the lip of the strip into the channel until it clicks into place. The gasket is then worked along the perimeter, stretching slightly around curves to keep it seated. Once the full length is snapped in, the door is closed and checked for even compression all the way round. If the seal is uneven, the strip can be pulled out and re-seated without tools.

The gasket is made of a flexible polymer that remains pliable at low temperatures, resisting cracking and hardening over time. Its black colour is standardised for commercial refrigeration, matching most door finishes and hiding dirt between cleaning cycles. The cross-section measures 25 mm wide and 20 mm high, giving enough surface area to compress against the cabinet while still allowing the door to close smoothly.

The 2000 mm length is cut to fit standard single-door refrigeration units, covering the full perimeter with a single continuous strip. A longer run can be ordered to size if the door frame exceeds this measurement. The snap-in design means no adhesive is needed, so the gasket can be removed and replaced without leaving residue or damaging the door channel.

Cleaning is done with a damp cloth and mild detergent, avoiding solvents that could degrade the polymer. The gasket should be wiped down weekly to prevent grease and dust building up in the bulb, which can reduce its ability to seal properly. If the strip becomes misshapen or loses its spring, it is replaced as a single piece rather than repaired.

This gasket fits LF refrigeration door profiles marked L-1023. The same profile is used across multiple models, so the gasket can be ordered by length without needing a specific model number.
