LF Snap-In Gasket L1023 – 2 Metre Grey Seal for Refrigeration Doors

A snap-in gasket creates an airtight seal between a refrigeration door and its cabinet by pressing a flexible strip into a channel that runs around the door frame. The strip is shaped so that its edges lock into the channel without adhesive or screws, holding itself in place by friction and slight compression. This method gives a continuous seal that stops warm air entering and cold air escaping, keeping the temperature inside the cabinet stable and reducing the load on the compressor.

To fit the gasket, the operator removes the old strip by pulling it free from the channel, then aligns the new gasket at one corner of the door frame. Starting at that point, the gasket is pressed into the channel along its full length, working around the frame until the entire strip is seated. The operator checks that the gasket lies flat and that no gaps appear at corners or joins. Once fitted, the door should close with a slight resistance, confirming the seal is tight.

The gasket is made of a flexible polymer in grey, with a cross-section of 25 mm wide and 20 mm high. These dimensions match the channel profile of compatible refrigeration doors, allowing the gasket to snap into place securely. The 2000 mm length suits standard door sizes, and the material remains pliable at low temperatures, maintaining its seal even when the door is opened and closed repeatedly.

The gasket fits Foster refrigeration equipment, replacing worn or damaged seals to restore the original insulation performance of the door.
