LF Solenoid Valve Elbi Type 349 – 2-Way 180° for Professional Dishwashers

A solenoid valve controls the flow of water in professional dishwashers by using an electromagnetic coil to open or close a valve. When power is applied, the coil generates a magnetic field that lifts a plunger, allowing water to pass through. When power is cut, a spring returns the plunger to its seat, stopping the flow. This on-off action is instantaneous, ensuring precise timing for rinse cycles, detergent dosing and final drainage in high-volume dishwashing equipment.

The valve is installed in the water supply line, where the inlet receives mains pressure and the two outlets direct water to separate circuits—typically one for fresh rinse and one for recirculated wash. The operator connects the valve to the dishwasher's control programme, which energises the coil at the correct moment in the cycle. No manual adjustment is needed during operation; the valve responds automatically to the electrical signal from the machine's timer or microprocessor.

Construction is brass bodied, with a 3/4" female inlet thread and two 10.5 mm push-fit outlets. An integral flow adjuster on the inlet side limits the maximum flow rate to 16 litres per minute, preventing overloading of the dishwasher's pump or spray arms. The valve is rated for a maximum temperature of 90 °C, allowing it to handle hot rinse water without deformation or leakage.

The 220/240 V 50/60 Hz coil draws a low current, compatible with standard single-phase kitchen circuits. The compact footprint allows installation in tight spaces behind dishwashers or inside pull-through and conveyor models.

Cleaning is limited to occasional inspection of the inlet filter screen and ensuring the push-fit connections remain watertight. No internal servicing is required; if the coil or plunger fails, the entire valve is replaced.

This LF solenoid valve fits AMIKA and EUROWASH dishwashers, including the AMIKA 101XL pull-through and EUROWASH EW3520ST, 3509, 3512, 3516, 4512 and 4520 models, as well as EUROWASH conveyor types WKR10, WKR120, WKR13, WKR140, WKR17 and WKR22.
