A sparking plug fixing fitting secures the ignition component in gas-powered catering equipment. The plug itself carries the electrode that produces the spark, while the fixing fitting threads into the appliance's burner assembly to hold the plug firmly in place. Without a secure fixing, the plug can loosen from vibration or heat cycling, causing misfires or gas leaks that interrupt service and create safety risks.

To install the fitting, the operator first isolates the gas supply and allows the appliance to cool. The old fitting is unscrewed with a spanner, the new one is threaded in by hand until snug, then tightened with the spanner to the manufacturer's torque specification.
