M3 / 8 "BSPT pipe ø 10 mm
A straight fitting JG connects gas appliances to fixed supply lines without bending or stressing the pipe. The jointing gasket (JG) system uses a compressible seal that tightens evenly when the nut is turned, eliminating leaks at the connection point. This method is standardised for commercial kitchens because it withstands vibration, temperature changes and repeated disconnection without losing integrity.
To install, the operator slides the nut onto the gas pipe, then the gasket. The pipe is pushed fully into the appliance inlet, and the nut is tightened by hand until snug. A final quarter-turn with a spanner secures the seal. No thread sealant is needed, and the joint can be disconnected and reconnected without replacing the gasket, provided the seal remains undamaged.
The fitting is a single-piece brass component, machined to standardised dimensions for compatibility with gas-rated appliances. Brass is chosen for its resistance to corrosion and its ability to maintain a gas-tight seal over years of service.
This straight fitting JG is used where the gas pipe enters the appliance in a straight line, avoiding kinks that could restrict flow or weaken the pipe. It fits LF professional catering equipment and is also compatible with other makes that follow the same gas connection standard.
Cleaning is limited to wiping the exterior with a damp cloth; the gasket should be inspected for cracks or deformation before each reconnection. No lubrication or special maintenance is required beyond ensuring the gasket remains seated correctly during installation.
