Automatic machine with programmable dosage. With 3 groups
- : Magister Sistema Caffe
- Article number: BHS-EEG-ES-3G
A three-group espresso machine draws pressurised water from a heated boiler, forces it through tightly packed coffee grounds and produces concentrated espresso. The boiler's volume determines how many shots can be pulled before reheating is needed, while the pump maintains consistent pressure for even extraction across all groups. Electronic controls regulate the water temperature and flow rate, ensuring each shot meets the programmed volume and strength.
The operator loads fresh coffee into the portafilters, locks them into the groups, selects a pre-set dose or chooses continuous flow, and starts the brew cycle. Blue LED touch pads display the selected volume from 0 to 3000 ml per group. During extraction, the sight glass allows a quick check of the boiler's water level. If pre-infusion is enabled, a short burst of low-pressure water softens the coffee puck before full pressure is applied, improving flavour and reducing channeling. Once the shot is complete, the spent puck is knocked out and the cycle repeats. For milk-based drinks, the two steam wands heat and texture milk simultaneously, while the hot-water wand dispenses water at near-boiling temperature for tea or Americanos.
The body is constructed from polished stainless steel, chosen for its resistance to corrosion and ease of cleaning in a busy kitchen. Inside, an inbuilt volumetric pump with balanced by-pass delivers water at a steady pressure, and an electronic boiler-level control prevents dry firing. The mechanical pressure switch allows manual adjustment of the boiler's operating pressure, fine-tuning the extraction temperature.
Controls include volumetric touch pads for each group, offering four pre-set doses plus continuous brewing. A self-learning programme adjusts future doses based on previous usage patterns. The electronic pre-infusion can be toggled on or off via the same touch panels, and the anti-burn wands on both steam and hot-water dispensers reduce the risk of scalding.
A 17 L boiler volume supports high-volume service without frequent refilling, while the 4.5 to 5.4 kW power rating indicates the load it places on the electrical circuit. The 220/240 V voltage requirement matches standard UK commercial supplies. At 98 kg, the unit is heavy enough to remain stable on a worktop but will require two people to move safely. The footprint of 1035 × 535 mm fits most back-bar setups, leaving space for knock boxes and grinder stands.
Cleaning involves daily back-flushing of the groups with a blind basket and detergent, wiping the steam wands after each use to prevent milk residue build-up, and regular descaling of the boiler to remove mineral deposits. The sight glass should be checked and cleaned to maintain visibility, and the touch pads wiped with a damp cloth to keep the blue LEDs clear.
The EEG ES 3-group is positioned in the Magister Sistema Caffe catalogue as a mid-to-high-capacity espresso machine for cafés, restaurants and hotel breakfast services.
