An electric stove built for professional kitchens, the MBM DOMINA PRO 700 delivers rapid, even heat through cast iron hot plates that lock watertight into the worktop. Each plate heats by passing current through a resistive element embedded in the cast iron; the metal's mass holds and spreads the heat, smoothing temperature swings and giving a stable cooking surface that responds quickly to power changes. A safety device cuts the current if the plate exceeds a set temperature, preventing scorching and reducing fire risk.
The operator selects a plate, switches it on and waits for the indicator light to confirm it is live. Food is placed directly on the plate or in cookware set on it; the heat transfers through conduction, browning and searing as needed. When cooking is complete, the plate is switched off and the indicator light extinguishes, showing the element is cooling. The watertight seal around each plate keeps liquids from reaching the electrical connections, so the stove can be wiped down without risk of shorting.
The stove is fitted with three hot-plate versions: two rounded plates of 145 mm and 200 mm diameter, and one squared 220×220 mm plate, each rated at 1.5 kW or 2.6 kW; a fourth lowered plate measures 300×300 mm and draws 2.5 kW. All plates are cast iron and fixed to the worktop, so they cannot be removed or swapped. Indicator lights above each plate show which are active, allowing the chef to monitor power use at a glance.
Construction is a stainless-steel frame with a single-piece worktop into which the plates are sealed. The 400 V three-phase supply and 4.1 kW total power require a dedicated circuit capable of handling the load without tripping breakers, typical of professional kitchen installations. The 400×730×250 mm footprint fits on a standard worktop or counter, while the 20 kg weight allows two people to lift and position it without machinery.
Cleaning is limited to the exposed surfaces: the cast iron plates are wiped with a damp cloth once cooled, and the stainless-steel worktop and frame are cleaned with a mild detergent. The watertight seals prevent water ingress, so the stove can be washed down without electrical risk. No disassembly is required or possible.
The stove is supplied in a single configuration with the four hot plates described; no variants or optional extras are available.
