Electric stove with 4 x 3,0 kW + 2 x 4,0 kW burners
An electric stove transfers energy directly from heating elements beneath cast iron hot plates into pots and pans. The elements heat the plates, which then conduct the heat evenly across their surface, allowing precise temperature control for frying, boiling, simmering or holding food at serving temperature. A thermostat cycles the power to maintain the set level, preventing scorching and reducing energy waste once the target temperature is reached.
To use the DOMINA PRO 900, the operator selects a hot plate by turning its control knob to one of six power positions or the standby setting. Indicator lights confirm the plate is active. Pots are placed directly on the 300 mm cast iron squares, and the stove maintains the chosen heat level automatically. The recessed worktop and rounded corners contain spills, and the watertight seal between plates and worktop prevents liquid from reaching the internal components.
The stove is built on a pressed 2 mm AISI 304 stainless steel worktop that resists corrosion and withstands daily scrubbing. Four cast iron hot plates, each 300 mm square, are permanently sealed to the worktop; two are powered by 3 kW elements and two by 4 kW elements. The 20 kW total load requires a 400 V three-phase circuit with neutral and earth, the standard supply for heavy-duty catering equipment in commercial kitchens. At 115 kg, the unit is moved with a trolley or pallet jack, and its 1200 mm width fits standard worktop runs while leaving space for adjacent appliances.
Each hot plate has its own six-stage thermostat plus an off position, allowing independent temperature control for different dishes. The indicator lights give immediate feedback on which plates are live, reducing the risk of accidental burns or forgotten settings. The 250 mm height places the work surface at a comfortable working level for standing chefs, and the shallow depth keeps the stove within easy reach across the worktop.
Cleaning is limited to the exposed surfaces. The stainless steel worktop and cast iron plates are wiped down after each service, and the moulded spill recess is rinsed to remove residue. The watertight construction prevents water from entering the electrical housing, so the stove can be cleaned with a damp cloth without risk of short circuits. No internal maintenance is required beyond periodic checks of the indicator lights and thermostat calibration.
The DOMINA PRO 900 is categorised as a heavy-duty electric stove for professional kitchens, positioned alongside other MBM modular cooking equipment.
