Ribbed grill 350x570 mm
A ribbed electric fry top concentrates heat along raised ridges, searing food quickly while allowing fat and juices to drain into the valleys. The ridges create distinct grill marks and a charred flavour without direct flame, making it a staple for grilling meats, fish and vegetables in professional kitchens.
The MBM MAGISTRA PLUS 700 operates on a 4 kW electric heating element embedded beneath the 15 mm thick ribbed cooking plate. Heat spreads evenly across the surface, controlled by a thermostat that maintains the set temperature. The slight tilt of the plate directs grease and residue into a removable stainless steel basin below, simplifying cleanup and reducing flare-ups.
To use the fry top, the operator powers it on, sets the thermostat to the desired temperature, and allows the surface to heat. Food is placed directly onto the ribbed plate, where it cooks through contact with the hot ridges. Grease drains away from the food, collecting in the basin beneath. Once cooking is complete, the basin is removed and emptied, and the surface is wiped down.
The unit is constructed from AISI 304 18/10 stainless steel, with a 1 mm thick body and a 3 mm thick backsplash welded to the cooking surface for durability and ease of cleaning. The 15 mm thick ribbed plate retains heat efficiently, while the removable grease basin holds up to 2 litres of residue.
Controls consist of a thermostatic dial that adjusts the temperature of the heating element, allowing precise regulation of cooking intensity.
The 4 kW power rating requires a 400 V 3-phase electrical supply, typical for high-demand catering equipment. The 43 kg weight ensures stability on a worktop while remaining manageable for repositioning. The 400 mm depth, 714 mm width and 250 mm height provide a compact footprint suitable for most professional kitchen setups.
Cleaning involves removing the grease basin, emptying it, and wiping the ribbed surface and backsplash with a damp cloth. The stainless steel construction resists corrosion and withstands frequent scrubbing, while the welded backsplash prevents debris from accumulating in hard-to-reach corners.
The MAGISTRA PLUS 700 is part of MBM's professional catering range, designed for high-volume cooking environments such as restaurants, hotels and catering services.
