Gas 3x5.5 kW, 3x11.00 , oven 7 kW
A gas stove with an integrated oven combines direct flame heat on the hob with radiant or convected heat in the chamber below. On the hob, gas burners mix fuel and air at the nozzle, producing a controlled flame that transfers heat instantly to the base of pans. The oven uses a separate burner to heat the cooking chamber, where hot air rises naturally or is circulated by a fan, spreading heat evenly around trays of food. This dual system lets a single appliance handle boiling, frying, roasting and baking at the same time, making it a compact centre for a busy kitchen line.
The sequence begins by lighting the hob burners. Each burner has a protected pilot flame that ignites the main gas flow; the operator adjusts the knob to set the flame size, from a low simmer to full power. Pans up to 40 cm in diameter sit on individual cast-iron supports that lift them clear of the worktop. Once the hob is in use, the oven burner is lit via a piezo-electric spark; a thermostat maintains the chosen temperature, while a safety valve and thermocouple cut the gas if the flame fails. Inside the oven, three rack positions accept standard gastronorm trays, allowing multiple dishes to cook at once.
Construction is 1 mm AISI 18/10 stainless steel throughout the worktop and oven chamber. The hob features Flex Burners with brass caps that stabilise the flame and simplify cleaning. The oven door is double-walled with an insulating layer to keep the exterior cool, and the cooking chamber has an enamelled bottom for durability. All joints are aligned for a seamless fit, reducing gaps where food debris can collect.
Controls on the front panel include individual knobs for each hob burner, a thermostat for the oven, and a piezo ignition button. The oven thermostat allows separate adjustment of top and bottom elements when the electric version is fitted, giving finer control over browning and baking.
The 61 kW total power rating indicates the load on the gas supply; a kitchen must have a pipe and regulator sized to deliver this flow without pressure drop. The 1200 mm width sets the space the stove occupies on the worktop, while the 143 kg weight means it requires a solid floor and may need two people or a trolley to move it into place. The 900 mm depth leaves room for a chef to work comfortably in front of the appliance without over-reaching.
Cleaning involves removing the cast-iron pan supports and burner caps, which are dishwasher-safe. The stainless steel worktop and oven chamber can be wiped down with a damp cloth and non-abrasive cleaner. The enamelled oven bottom resists staining and can be scrubbed more vigorously if needed. Regular inspection of the flame ports and thermocouple ensures safe operation.
The MAGISTRA PLUS 900 is available in gas oven and electric oven versions, each with static or ventilated air circulation. All versions accept the same 3 GN 2/1 rack supports for standard gastronorm trays.
