Grill-meat plate or grill-fish plate
Grid 2-355x460 mm
A charcoal-effect gas grill creates the searing heat and smoky flavour of solid fuel without the ash or the need to replenish coals. Gas burners beneath the cooking surface heat a stainless-steel radiant plate until it glows like embers; the plate then radiates intense, even heat upwards onto the food. Because the heat source is gas, the temperature responds instantly to the control knob, letting the chef hold a steady sear or reduce to a gentle finish without moving the food to a cooler zone.
The MINIMA 600 is lit with a piezoelectric spark; once the pilot burner is alight, the main burners ignite automatically. Two independent heating areas allow one side to be set at high heat for searing while the other side is kept at a lower temperature for slower cooking. The operator loads food directly onto the smooth stainless-steel grill surface, adjusts the flame with the control knobs, and monitors the cooking. Grease and juices drip into a stainless-steel collection channel beneath the meat section, while ash and waste fall into a removable box below the fish broiler, making end-of-service clearing quick and hygienic.
The entire structure and worktop are made of AISI 304 stainless steel, chosen for its resistance to corrosion and high temperatures. The burners are stainless steel with a stabilised flame, protected by a safety valve and thermocouple that cut the gas supply if the flame fails. A pilot burner ensures reliable ignition, and the piezoelectric device removes the need for matches or external lighters.
The 14 kW power rating means the grill draws a substantial load, so it requires a dedicated gas line capable of supplying the full demand without pressure drop. The 800 mm width fits standard worktop runs, while the 600 mm depth leaves room for rear clearance and extraction. At 70 kg, the unit is heavy enough to stay stable during service but can still be moved by two people using the handles on the sides.
Cleaning is straightforward: the smooth grill surface wipes clean with a scraper or cloth, the grease channel empties into a container, and the ash box slides out for disposal. The stainless-steel burners and radiant plates can be removed for deeper cleaning if needed, and the entire worktop lifts off for access to the interior.
The MINIMA range includes four gas models; the GPL86 and GPL89 feature dual heating zones for greater flexibility. This model is positioned in the professional catering catalogue under gas grills and charbroilers.
