Handwashing sink with dimensions 400 × 400 mm, supplied complete with spout, self-closing knee-operated control, and a pre-mixer for temperature regulation.
An automatic mixer sink removes the need to touch taps with soiled hands, cutting cross-contamination in busy kitchens. The mixer uses an infrared sensor to detect movement beneath the spout; when hands are present, it opens a solenoid valve that blends hot and cold supplies into a single stream. The valve stays open for a set interval, then closes automatically, preventing waste and overflow. Because the water is mixed centrally, the temperature remains consistent without manual adjustment, reducing scald risk and saving energy that would otherwise be lost to trial-and-error running.
To use the ARES050, the operator places hands or utensils under the spout. The sensor triggers the valve, and water flows for the programmed duration. When the time elapses, the flow stops without further intervention. The sink itself is a single bowl unit, leaving the worktop clear for food preparation or dishwashing.
Construction is a single-piece bowl without seams or crevices where debris can collect. The mixer body is mounted above the bowl, keeping the sensor and valve away from splashes. Flexible connection hoses and a siphon are not supplied, allowing the installer to choose components that match the existing plumbing.
Flow time is adjustable between 4 and 6 seconds, letting the kitchen set the volume per activation to match the task—brief for handwashing, longer for filling containers or rinsing large items. The absence of manual controls means no knobs or levers to harbour bacteria, and no accidental activation that could leave taps running.
Cleaning is limited to wiping the bowl and the mixer body with a damp cloth; the sensor window must be kept clear of grease or condensation to maintain reliable detection. The unit is designed for wall or worktop mounting, fitting into the space a conventional sink would occupy.
The ARES050 is categorised under commercial sinks and is listed alongside other hygienic fittings for food service and healthcare environments.
