Basin mixer operated by an infrared sensor and powered by mains supply 230 V. Equipped with a swinging spout with 130 mm projection; flexible connection hoses included.
An electronic faucet removes the need to touch the tap with soiled hands, cutting cross-contamination in busy catering kitchens. Instead of a manual handle, a sensor detects the presence of hands or utensils beneath the spout and opens a solenoid valve. Water flows only while the sensor is triggered, stopping the instant the operator moves away. This method keeps the tap surface clean and reduces water waste by delivering only the amount needed for rinsing or filling.
The operator places hands or a container under the spout; the sensor activates and water flows for a fixed interval. After use, the tap automatically closes and, if left idle for 24 hours, performs a brief hygienic flush to clear stagnant water from the internal pipework. A mechanical side lever allows the user to set the desired temperature before the electronic cycle begins, so the water arrives at the chosen warmth without further adjustment.
The faucet body is constructed to resist vandalism: if the sensor is held continuously, the valve shuts off after five minutes, preventing deliberate flooding. A 7.5-second flow time is long enough to rinse hands or fill a small container without waste, yet short enough to discourage leaving the tap running.
Cleaning follows from the construction: the sensor window is wiped with a damp cloth to maintain sensitivity, and the spout is descaled periodically to prevent mineral build-up. The automatic flush programme requires no operator intervention, but the internal strainer should be checked monthly to ensure debris does not block the solenoid valve.
The faucet is supplied as a single unit ready for connection to standard catering water supplies. It fits worktops with a single-hole mounting and is compatible with existing hot and cold feeds where the temperature is mechanically blended before the tap.
