Monolith SR18 A Wall-Mounted Hose Reel for Food Sector

A wall-mounted hose reel keeps a flexible supply line organised and ready for use without kinking or tangling. The hose winds onto a rotating drum fixed to the wall, letting the operator pull out the length needed and retract it smoothly when finished. This arrangement saves floor space and reduces trip hazards in busy kitchens.

The reel stores a continuous 15-metre hose that delivers water or low-pressure cleaning solutions. A swivel inlet at the back of the drum connects to the fixed supply pipe, allowing the hose to unwind without twisting the connection. The drum turns on sealed bearings, so retraction is controlled and even.

To use the reel, the operator pulls the hose out to the required length, locks the drum if the reel has a brake, and opens the tap at the supply end. When finished, the tap is closed and the hose is rewound by turning the crank handle or engaging an automatic spring return. The hose is then left neatly coiled on the drum until the next use.

The unit is built from stainless steel, chosen for its resistance to corrosion and ease of cleaning in food-sector environments. The mounting bracket and drum are both made from the same material, ensuring durability and hygiene.

The reel is designed to operate at a maximum constant working temperature of 70 °C and a pressure of 6 bar. This temperature range allows it to handle hot water for cleaning tasks without risk of damage to the hose or fittings. The 6 bar pressure rating ensures steady flow for washing down worktops, floors and equipment.

Cleaning the reel involves wiping down the stainless steel surfaces with a damp cloth and a mild detergent. The hose itself can be flushed through with clean water to remove any residue. Regular inspection of the hose for signs of wear or damage is recommended to maintain safe operation.
