A wall-mounted hose reel delivers a controlled flow of water or cleaning solution directly to the worktop, sink or floor without dragging a loose hose across the kitchen. The reel stores the hose on a rotating drum fixed to the wall, letting the operator pull out only the length needed and retract it neatly when finished. This keeps walkways clear, reduces trip hazards and prevents the hose from kinking or dragging through food debris.
The drum turns on sealed bearings, allowing the hose to feed out smoothly under light tension. A spring-loaded mechanism rewinds the hose automatically once the operator releases the trigger on the Nito gun. The gun itself is designed for food-sector use: a lever-operated valve gives precise control over flow rate, and the nozzle is shaped to produce a steady, non-splashing stream suitable for rinsing equipment, filling containers or flushing floors.
To use the reel, the operator unclips the hose from its wall bracket, pulls out the required length and opens the valve on the gun. When finished, the trigger is released, the hose rewinds and the end is clipped back onto the bracket. The entire assembly is fixed to the wall with mounting brackets, keeping the hose and gun off the floor and away from moving trolleys or foot traffic.
The reel is constructed from stainless steel, including the drum, mounting plate and protective cover. Stainless steel resists corrosion from water, steam and cleaning chemicals, and can be sanitised with standard kitchen disinfectants without staining or pitting. The hose itself is rated for a maximum constant working temperature of 40 °C at 6 bar, making it suitable for hot-water rinses but not for steam or high-temperature sanitising cycles.
Controls are limited to the lever on the Nito gun, which opens and closes the water flow. No additional valves or regulators are fitted to the reel itself, so the supply pressure must be set at the tap or distribution point upstream.
The 15 m hose length allows the reel to cover a large kitchen area from a single mounting point, reducing the number of taps and reels needed. The wall-mounted design frees up floor space, and the stainless steel construction ensures the unit can be cleaned quickly between shifts without harbouring bacteria or dirt.
Cleaning involves rinsing the hose and gun with clean water after each use to remove food residues, then wiping the stainless steel drum and cover with a damp cloth and a food-safe sanitiser. The reel should be inspected regularly for signs of wear on the hose or bearings, and the mounting brackets checked for secure attachment to the wall.
