A grill picco poff concentrates heat from electric elements directly onto a small, flat cooking surface. The method gives intense, even searing without the open flame or radiant heat of a conventional grill. Food placed on the hot plate browns quickly, developing a crisp exterior while the interior stays moist. The process is faster than a frying pan and leaves no flare-ups or smoke, making it suited to high-turnover kitchens where speed and consistency matter.
The operator plugs the unit into a 230 V circuit, switches it on and waits for the plate to reach temperature. Food is laid directly on the surface, turned once, and removed when seared. The compact size allows it to sit on a worktop or shelf between uses, taking little space in a crowded kitchen.
The grill is built as a single block of metal, with a flat top plate and a base that houses the heating element. The dimensions of 570 mm wide, 330 mm deep and 200 mm high fit standard worktop depths and leave room for a shelf above. The 26 kg weight means two people can lift it onto a trolley for storage, but it is not moved during service.
A single control sets the power level, adjusting the heat output of the 2.2 kW element. The voltage requirement of 230 V matches the standard single-phase supply in British commercial kitchens, so no special wiring is needed.
The 50 x Ø44x11 mm notes refer to the size of the feet or mounting points, which keep the unit stable on a worktop and allow it to be secured if required.
Cleaning is limited to wiping the hot plate after use and brushing out any debris that falls into the base. The solid construction with no moving parts or crevices makes upkeep straightforward.
The Grill Picco Poff is listed in the Neumarker countertop equipment section.
