A watermelon cutter divides whole melons into equal portions without crushing the flesh. A set of stainless-steel blades descends vertically, pressing the fruit against a shaped cradle that holds it steady. The downward force splits the melon cleanly along the blades, leaving each piece the same size and shape. Because the cut is made in one motion, the seeds and juice stay inside the slices instead of scattering across the worktop.
The operator places a melon into the cradle, ensuring it sits level. The top of the melon must be cut open beforehand so the blades can enter cleanly. A safety guard is lowered, then the lever or pedal is pressed to drive the blades down. Once the cut is complete, the guard is raised and the slices are lifted out. The process takes seconds per melon, allowing rapid preparation for retail display or buffet service.
The unit is built from stainless steel for hygiene and durability. Its footprint of 500 mm depth, 600 mm width and 400 mm height fits on most worktops without crowding adjacent equipment. At 7.5 kg, the cutter can be moved by one person when the work area is reorganised.
Two versions are offered: one that divides melons into quarters and another that produces sixths. Both accept round or oval melons of standard retail size.
Cleaning is straightforward: the blades and cradle are wiped down after each use to remove pulp and juice, then sanitised at the end of service. The stainless-steel surfaces resist corrosion and can be dried quickly to prevent water marks.
