Novameta 1200 mm Adjustable Shelf Module with Sliding Doors

A stainless steel shelf module with sliding doors provides organised dry storage for ingredients, crockery or utensils in a professional kitchen. The unit stands on four adjustable legs that level the worktop even on uneven floors, ensuring doors slide smoothly and shelves remain stable under load.

The module is built as a single carcass with vertical side panels and a fixed back. Shelves rest on internal brackets that can be repositioned without tools, allowing the spacing between shelves to be set for different container heights. Sliding doors run on horizontal tracks at the front, giving full access to one side at a time while keeping the other side closed. This arrangement keeps stored items visible and reachable without the swing of hinged doors, saving space in tight kitchen aisles.

To install, the operator places the module in position, extends the adjustable legs until the worktop is level, and locks the feet. Shelves are then fitted at the desired heights and loaded with stock. The sliding doors are lifted onto their tracks and aligned so they glide without binding. Once loaded, the doors are opened only as far as needed to retrieve or replace items, reducing the risk of accidental knocks and maintaining a tidy appearance.

The construction is stainless steel throughout, including the legs, side panels, back, shelves and door frames. The sliding mechanism uses nylon rollers on aluminium tracks, reducing friction and noise. Leg adjustment is by threaded feet with a 65 mm range, allowing the unit to be raised or lowered to match adjacent worktops or to clear floor obstacles.

Controls are limited to the leg adjustment mechanism, which is operated by hand. Each foot is turned until the module is level, checked with a spirit level or by ensuring doors slide freely.

The 1200 mm width provides space for bulk storage while fitting through standard kitchen doorways. The 670 mm depth allows full-size gastronorm trays to be stored flat on the shelves, and the 825–890 mm height range accommodates either a single tall shelf or multiple shorter ones. The adjustable legs mean the overall height can be fine-tuned to align with existing work surfaces, maintaining a continuous worktop line.

Cleaning involves wiping the stainless steel surfaces with a damp cloth and mild detergent. The sliding doors can be removed from their tracks for thorough cleaning, and the shelves lifted out to reach the interior. The nylon rollers and aluminium tracks require occasional inspection to ensure they remain free of debris that could impede movement.
