A stainless steel worktop with an integrated sink and undershelf organises the final rinse and staging of tableware before it enters the dishwasher. The unit stands between the washing area and the machine, letting staff scrape, rinse and rack plates, glasses and cutlery without carrying them across the kitchen.
The work surface holds soiled items while the sink provides running water for a quick pre-rinse. Food debris is flushed away, reducing the load on the dishwasher's filters and extending the life of the wash tanks. The undershelf keeps clean racks or stacked plates within arm's reach, so the operator can load the machine without turning or reaching.
Staff place soiled tableware on the worktop, scrape off large food waste into a bin beneath or beside the unit, then rinse each item under the tap. Rinsed items are transferred to a rack on the undershelf, ready to slide into the dishwasher when the previous load is finished. The sequence keeps the workflow linear and minimises handling.
The table is constructed from stainless steel throughout, chosen for its resistance to water, detergents and repeated cleaning. The worktop is a single sheet with a raised rim to contain spills, and the sink is welded in place to eliminate seams that could trap dirt. The undershelf is a flat panel supported by tubular legs, providing clearance for cleaning underneath.
No controls are fitted; the unit is a static staging point that relies on the tap for water supply and the adjacent dishwasher for the wash cycle.
The 2300 mm length provides space for two operators to work side by side during peak service, while the 700 mm depth keeps everything within easy reach. The 900 mm height matches standard worktop levels, allowing seamless integration with other kitchen furniture. The footprint is fixed, so the unit must be positioned where the full length can be accommodated without obstructing walkways.
Cleaning is straightforward: the worktop and sink are wiped down with a sanitising solution after each service, and the undershelf is cleared of any dropped items. The stainless steel surface can be scrubbed with non-abrasive pads to remove dried-on food without damaging the finish. The absence of moving parts or electrical components means there is no routine maintenance beyond keeping the tap and drain clear.
