A stainless steel worktable built to hold a plastic cutting board under heavy use, the Novameta BHS-MP3-WLX-160/70/90 gives a rigid, flat surface that does not flex when food is chopped or sliced. The table itself does not include a board; it is sized to accept standard plastic boards 300 mm or 400 mm wide, either 20 mm or 30 mm thick. The board rests directly on the reinforced top, so the weight of the food and the force of the knife are carried by the table frame instead of the board alone.
The frame is welded from stainless steel tubes: 40×40 mm for the legs and 40×20 mm or 25×25 mm for the cross-bracing. This construction keeps the table stable and square, even when the board is loaded unevenly or moved across the surface. Adjustable feet raise or lower each corner by up to 65 mm, letting the operator level the table on an uneven floor or set a slight slope for drainage.
To use the table, the operator places a plastic cutting board of the correct width on the reinforced top. The board is held in place by its own weight and by the raised edges of the table; no clamps or fasteners are needed. Once the board is in position, food is prepared directly on it. When the board needs cleaning, it is lifted off and taken to the sink, leaving the stainless steel surface underneath ready for the next task.
The table top and frame are made entirely of stainless steel, chosen for its resistance to corrosion and ease of cleaning. The welded joints eliminate crevices where dirt could collect, and the smooth surfaces allow quick wipe-downs between tasks. The adjustable feet are also stainless steel, with a threaded rod that moves inside a captive nut welded to the leg.
The overall dimensions of 1600 mm long, 700 mm wide and 900 mm high give a work surface large enough for two operators to work side by side, while the 700 mm depth keeps everything within easy reach. The 900 mm height is standard for worktops in professional kitchens, matching the height of most hobs, sinks and other preparation tables so that food can be slid from one to another without lifting.
The table is supplied without a cutting board, so the operator can choose the thickness and material that best suit the menu. Boards 20 mm thick are lighter and easier to handle; 30 mm boards are stiffer and last longer under heavy use.
The catalogue places this model in the stainless steel worktables section, under tables designed for cutting boards.
