A static shelving unit organises dry goods, crockery and small equipment off the worktop and out of cupboards. The frame supports shelves at fixed heights, creating a vertical stack of flat surfaces that keep items visible and accessible without occupying floor space. Each shelf carries a distributed load, so the weight of stored items spreads across the entire surface rather than concentrating on a single point. This method prevents sagging and allows heavier loads than wall-mounted brackets or freestanding racks of the same material.

The operator places the unit against a wall or between other fixtures, levels the feet, and loads each shelf from front to back. Items are retrieved in the same order, keeping the most frequently used goods at eye level and less-used items on higher or lower shelves. The open construction lets air circulate around stored goods, reducing condensation and maintaining a stable environment for dry ingredients and packaged supplies.

Construction is galvanised steel, giving a corrosion-resistant finish that withstands kitchen humidity and occasional splashes. The frame is bolted, not welded, so individual shelves can be removed or repositioned if the unit is relocated. Adjustable feet compensate for uneven floors, ensuring the shelves remain level and stable under load.

The unit measures 1300 mm wide, 600 mm deep and 1800 mm high. The 1300 mm width spans the distance between standard kitchen wall studs, allowing the unit to fit flush against a wall without cutting into the worktop. The 600 mm depth matches the reach of an average adult, so items at the back of the shelf remain within easy grasp. The 1800 mm height uses vertical space up to the ceiling, maximising storage without extending the footprint. Each shelf supports 120 kg, sufficient for bulk dry goods, stacked crockery or small catering equipment.

Cleaning follows the materials: shelves and frame are wiped with a damp cloth and mild detergent, avoiding abrasives that could damage the galvanised finish. Shelves can be removed for thorough cleaning or to accommodate taller items. No lubrication or periodic adjustment is required beyond checking the feet remain tight and level.
