A contactless handwash station removes the need to touch taps or soap dispensers, cutting cross-contamination in kitchens, food plants and public washrooms. The unit detects motion beneath the spout and releases a measured flow of water and soap without physical contact. This method keeps hands free of surfaces that may carry bacteria or viruses, making it a standard for high-traffic hygiene points.
The operator stands in front of the station and places their hands under the spout. An infrared sensor triggers the water valve, delivering a controlled stream. A second sensor, or a timed sequence, dispenses liquid soap into the palm. The user lathers and rinses without touching any part of the unit, then dries their hands at a separate point. The sequence is set so that water and soap are released only when hands are present, reducing waste and keeping the area tidy.
Built from stainless steel, the station resists corrosion, heat and frequent cleaning with industrial detergents. The material does not harbour bacteria and can be polished to a smooth finish that sheds water and dirt. The construction is seamless where possible, leaving no crevices for grime to collect.
Controls are limited to the sensors and the internal valves that regulate flow. There are no knobs, levers or buttons to clean or replace. The sensors are positioned to detect only deliberate hand movements, avoiding accidental activation from passing traffic or splashes.
The station is custom-made in any size, allowing it to fit into tight corners or along long worktops. Its footprint is determined by the space available, and the weight is kept low enough for wall mounting or mobile stands without reinforcing the structure. Stainless steel is easy to wipe down, and the absence of moving parts on the exterior means there are no seams or joints to scrub. Daily maintenance is a quick pass with a disinfectant cloth, and the sensors are checked periodically to ensure they remain unobstructed.
