BHS stainless steel shelf for equipment placement. Durable construction, available in various sizes, manufactured according to individual drawings and projects.
An equipment shelf provides a stable, hygienic platform for heavy appliances and tools in a professional kitchen. The unit stands on two wall brackets that transfer the weight directly to the wall structure, removing the need for legs on the floor and leaving the space beneath clear for cleaning or storage. Three shelves distribute the load evenly, allowing the operator to organise appliances, containers or ingredients at working height without overloading any single level.
The operator mounts the brackets to the wall at the required height, then slides each shelf into place. The shelves lock onto the brackets, creating a rigid frame that resists sway and vibration. Once assembled, the shelf holds up to 50 kg across all three levels, so heavy mixers, holding cabinets or bulk ingredients can be stored safely without sagging or deformation.
The shelf is constructed from stainless steel, a material that does not corrode, stain or absorb moisture. This makes it suitable for environments where steam, water and cleaning chemicals are used daily. The steel surface can be wiped down quickly, and the open design allows air to circulate, reducing the risk of trapped dirt or condensation.
Two wall brackets support the entire assembly, ensuring the shelf remains level and secure. Each bracket is fixed to the wall with appropriate fasteners, which must be chosen to match the wall material and the total load.
The 1500 mm width provides ample space for standard catering equipment, while the 300 mm depth keeps the shelf within easy reach. The 999 mm height allows the unit to fit beneath most worktops or extractor hoods, maximising vertical storage in a busy kitchen.
The 50 kg load capacity means the shelf can support heavy appliances without bending or warping over time. This figure is the total for all three shelves, so the operator must distribute the weight evenly to avoid overloading a single level.
Cleaning is straightforward: the shelves can be removed from the brackets for thorough washing, and the stainless steel surface can be sanitised with standard kitchen chemicals without damaging the finish.
Variants of different widths and lengths are available, and custom sizes can be manufactured to match specific kitchen layouts or project requirements.
The shelf is categorised under storage solutions for professional catering and food production environments.
