Novameta Flush Drop-In Cold Surface 630 mm

A refrigerated worktop that sits level with the surrounding counter, keeping food chilled without breaking the line of the kitchen surface. The cooling system circulates cold air just beneath the stainless steel top, drawing heat away from any container placed on it. Because the cold is spread evenly across the whole area, every dish stays at the same low temperature, whether it is at the front, back or side of the unit.

The operator simply places gastronorm pans, bowls or platters directly on the surface. There is no need to lift them into a cabinet or slide them into a slot; the entire top becomes the chilling zone. A single control sets the target temperature, and the unit holds it automatically once the compressor starts. The flush design also means that spills and crumbs can be wiped straight across the counter without catching on an edge or lip.

Construction is a stainless steel top with a refrigeration unit mounted underneath. The whole assembly drops into a cut-out in the worktop and is secured from below, leaving only the chilled surface visible. The 630 mm width matches standard kitchen modules and accepts two GN 1/1 pans side by side. A 230 V single-phase supply powers the compressor, which is sized for continuous duty in a professional kitchen.

The -5 °C temperature keeps food safely chilled but does not freeze it, so the unit is suited to display, holding or staging rather than long-term frozen storage. The 0.36 kW power rating reflects the load on the electrical circuit, and the compact 630 × 510 × 480 mm footprint allows installation in tight spaces where a full-height fridge would not fit.

Cleaning is limited to wiping the stainless steel top with a damp cloth and mild detergent. The flush design prevents dirt from collecting at the edges, and the absence of internal shelves or trays removes the need for deeper disassembly.
