Novameta Flush Drop-In Cold Surface for Worktops

A drop-in cold surface that sits flush with the countertop, creating a seamless worktop for food display or temporary storage. The unit draws heat away from the stainless-steel top, holding it at a steady -5 °C to keep prepared dishes, salads, desserts or buffet items chilled without freezing them. Because the cooling element is built into the base and the air circulates beneath the flat surface, every part of the top stays at the same temperature, preventing hot spots that can spoil food.

The operator simply places the food directly on the cold surface or on standard 1/1 GN trays set into the 955 mm-wide top. No doors or lids are needed, so items are always visible and within easy reach. The integrated control panel is positioned at the front edge, allowing settings to be adjusted without interrupting the display.

Construction is a single stainless-steel body with a 960 mm length, 510 mm depth and 480 mm height. The flush design means the top aligns exactly with the surrounding counter, so there are no lips or edges to trap debris or complicate cleaning. The 0.53 kW power rating indicates a modest electrical load, suitable for a standard 230 V single-phase circuit found in most professional kitchens.

The -5 °C operating temperature is chosen to keep food safely chilled while avoiding ice formation, making it practical for short-term display or holding before service. The 960 mm width accommodates three standard 1/1 GN trays side by side, allowing organised presentation of multiple dishes.

Cleaning involves wiping the stainless-steel surface with a damp cloth and mild detergent, then drying to prevent water marks. The flush installation means there are no gaps between the unit and the countertop, so spills can be wiped straight across without seeping underneath.

The unit is designed for flush installation only and is not offered in freestanding or wall-mounted variants.
