Drop In Ice basin for bar station
An ice basin built to drop into a worktop cut-out, keeping ingredients chilled at the point of service without a separate under-counter unit. The basin is lined with thermal insulation and clad in stainless steel, so it holds cold while the surrounding work surface stays at room temperature. A drain groove collects meltwater and channels it to a G1/2 threaded outlet, preventing standing water and keeping the area dry.
The basin is loaded from above: ice is packed into the insulated liner, then the stainless-steel guide and sliding partitions are positioned to create compartments for different ingredients. Each partition can be removed or adjusted without tools, so the layout is reorganised in seconds. A drop-in frame secures the basin flush with the worktop, giving a seamless surface that is easy to wipe down and free from trip hazards.
Inner dimensions of 710 × 350 × 260 mm allow standard gastronorm containers to be placed inside, while the outer rim of 718 × 350 × 268 mm sets the cut-out size needed in the worktop. The stainless-steel construction is resistant to corrosion and staining, and the drain valve simplifies daily emptying and cleaning. Meltwater is directed straight to the waste line, so there is no need to lift the basin or mop up spills.
The basin is supplied with a GN-compatible partition system, making it compatible with standardised kitchen containers. Partitions slide along the guide rail and can be locked in place or removed entirely, so the same unit serves for a single large batch or multiple smaller ones. The hygienic design, with no sharp corners or crevices, allows quick sanitising between services.
Cleaning follows from the materials and construction: the stainless-steel liner and partitions are lifted out, rinsed and wiped down; the drain valve is opened to flush the outlet; the drop-in frame is wiped with a damp cloth. No dismantling is required, and the basin is ready for the next service within minutes.
