BHS stainless steel wall shelf. Modular and durable construction, adjustable length and depth dimensions, manufacturing according to individual drawings and projects.
A wall-mounted shelf system fixes directly to vertical surfaces, using sturdy brackets to transfer the weight of stored items into the building structure. This method frees floor space while keeping heavy or frequently used items within easy reach of the worktop. The shelf itself is a flat platform that spans between the brackets, creating a stable horizontal plane without legs or supports that could obstruct movement underneath. Because the load is carried by the wall, the system can support substantial weights without sagging or shifting, provided the wall itself is strong enough and the brackets are correctly spaced and secured.
The LSX1-160/30/30 is installed by first marking the positions of the three wall brackets on the wall at equal intervals. Each bracket is fixed with screws or bolts into solid masonry or a suitable mounting rail. Once the brackets are level and secure, the single shelf is lowered onto them and locked into place with the integrated fasteners. The shelf is then ready to receive up to 50 kg of equipment, ingredients or utensils, distributed evenly across its 1600 mm length and 300 mm depth. No tools are needed for daily loading or unloading; items are simply placed on or lifted off the shelf as required.
The system is constructed from stainless steel throughout, including the shelf, brackets and all mounting hardware. Stainless steel resists corrosion, does not absorb odours or bacteria, and can be cleaned with standard kitchen sanitisers without risk of damage. The surface finish is smooth and non-porous, meeting the hygiene standards required in food production and healthcare environments.
The controls are minimal and mechanical: the brackets have pre-drilled holes for fixing, and the shelf has captive locking pins that engage with the brackets to prevent accidental removal. No electrical or programmable elements are present.
A load capacity of 50 kg means the shelf can hold bulk ingredients in catering-sized containers, heavy-duty appliances such as mixers or food processors, or multiple smaller items without exceeding its safe working limit. The 1600 mm length provides a continuous run of storage that can be organised to suit the workflow, while the 300 mm depth keeps items close to the wall and within arm's reach of a standing operator. The 300 mm height from the wall to the underside of the shelf allows clearance for most standard containers and appliances.
Cleaning is straightforward: the shelf can be wiped down with a damp cloth and a mild detergent, or removed entirely for more thorough cleaning if necessary. The stainless steel surface does not require sealing or special treatment, and the absence of corners or crevices reduces the risk of dirt accumulation.
The LSX1-160/30/30 is one configuration of the Novameta LSX modular wall shelving system. Other lengths, depths and numbers of shelves are available to match different room layouts and storage needs. The system can also be manufactured to custom dimensions and specifications for projects that require non-standard solutions.
The product is categorised under professional shelving systems for catering, food production and technical areas.
