BHS stainless steel wall shelf. Modular and durable construction, adjustable length and depth dimensions, manufacturing according to individual drawings and projects.
A wall-mounted storage system creates two fixed work levels above a worktop or counter without occupying floor space. The shelves attach to the wall with brackets, transferring the weight directly to the masonry or studwork. This method removes the need for legs or a base unit, leaving the area beneath clear for trolleys, bins or foot traffic. In a professional kitchen the wall becomes a vertical extension of the work surface, allowing ingredients, utensils and small equipment to be stored within arm's reach while remaining off the worktop itself. The LSX2-130/50/60 system provides two shelves, each supported by a pair of wall brackets. The upper shelf sits at a comfortable working height, while the lower shelf remains accessible without bending. Because both shelves are fixed to the wall, the unit does not shift or sway under load, and the open design allows air to circulate freely, reducing condensation and simplifying cleaning. To install the system, the wall brackets are first secured to the wall at the required height and spacing. Once the brackets are securely anchored to the wall studs, the shelves slide into place and click firmly to prevent shifting during rapid loading or unloading of heavy containers. Once mounted, each shelf can be loaded with up to 50 kg of evenly distributed weight. The operator simply places items on the shelf; no further adjustment is needed during use. Every component—from the load-bearing brackets to the smallest mounting screw—is made of corrosion-resistant stainless steel to withstand daily exposure to steam, splashes, and aggressive cleaning agents in a busy kitchen. Stainless steel is chosen for its resistance to corrosion, heat and repeated cleaning with water and detergents. The material meets food-hygiene standards, so it can be used in areas where food is prepared, stored or processed. The surfaces are smooth and free of crevices, which prevents dirt from accumulating and speeds up daily wiping and sanitising. The controls are minimal: the system has no moving parts or electrical components, so there are no settings to adjust. The only requirement is that the load on each shelf does not exceed 50 kg. A load capacity of 50 kg per shelf means the unit can hold bulk ingredients, stacked crockery, small appliances or tools without risk of bending or collapse. The 1300 mm width provides a long continuous shelf that can span the length of a standard worktop or hob, while the 500 mm depth allows items to be stored two or three abreast without overhanging the edge. The 600 mm height between the floor and the lower shelf leaves clearance for cleaning underneath, and the 600 mm gap between the two shelves is sufficient for most containers and trays. Cleaning is straightforward: the shelves and brackets are wiped down with a damp cloth and detergent, then dried to prevent water marks. Because the system is wall-mounted, the floor beneath can be mopped without obstruction. The stainless steel surfaces do not require polishing or protective coatings, and the absence of moving parts means there are no lubricants or filters to replace. The LSX2-130/50/60 is one variant in the LSX modular range. Other widths and depths are available, and the system can be manufactured to custom dimensions for specific projects. The same construction and materials are used throughout the range, so the performance and hygiene standards remain consistent. The system is categorised under wall-mounted storage solutions in the professional catering equipment catalogue.
