BHS stainless steel wall shelf. Modular and durable construction, adjustable length and depth dimensions, manufacturing according to individual drawings and projects.
A wall-mounted storage system creates two horizontal work surfaces above a worktop or counter without occupying floor space. The shelves are fixed to the wall with brackets, transferring the weight directly to the masonry or steel studs behind the cladding. This method keeps the shelves level and stable under load, while leaving the area beneath them clear for trolleys, bins or foot traffic.
Two shelves at different heights allow the operator to separate items by frequency of use. The lower shelf holds the tools, containers or ingredients needed every few minutes, while the upper shelf stores less-frequent items or backup stock. The gap between the shelves is chosen so that both levels remain within comfortable reach, reducing the need to bend or stretch during service.
The operator installs the brackets first, using the pre-drilled holes and the supplied fixings. Once the brackets are level and securely anchored, the shelves slide onto the bracket arms and are locked in place with the retaining clips. No tools are required for this final step, so the shelves can be repositioned or removed for cleaning without disrupting the workflow.
Each shelf is a single sheet of stainless steel, folded at the edges to form a rim that prevents items from sliding off. The rim also stiffens the shelf, allowing it to carry the full 50 kg load without sagging. Three brackets per shelf distribute the weight evenly across the wall, so the load on each fixing point remains within safe limits for standard masonry or metal studwork.
The 1900 mm length provides a continuous run of storage that can span the width of a standard workstation or prep table. The 400 mm depth keeps the shelves within arm's reach from the front, so the operator does not have to lean over the worktop to retrieve items. The 600 mm height from floor to the top shelf allows clearance for most standard kitchen equipment and trolleys to pass underneath.
Stainless steel surfaces resist corrosion from moisture, steam and cleaning chemicals, so the shelves remain hygienic and easy to wipe down between services. The smooth finish has no crevices where food debris can lodge, and the folded edges eliminate sharp corners that could trap soil or damage packaging.
The system is available in other lengths and depths to match different room layouts. Custom sizes can be manufactured to order, allowing the shelves to fit around existing equipment or follow the contours of an irregular wall.
The catalogue places this product in the storage and workspace organisation section, under wall-mounted shelving for professional kitchens and food production facilities.
