BHS stainless steel wall shelf. Modular and durable construction, adjustable length and depth dimensions, manufacturing according to individual drawings and projects.
A wall-mounted storage system creates two fixed work levels above a counter or equipment run, keeping tools and ingredients within reach without occupying floor space. Two vertical brackets fasten to the wall, transferring the weight of the shelves and their contents directly into the building structure. This method eliminates the need for legs or a base, leaving the area below clear for trolleys, bins or foot traffic. The shelves themselves are rigid panels that span between the brackets, forming a stable platform for containers, trays or loose items. Because the system is fixed, it cannot tip or shift during use, and the open underside allows heat and steam to rise without obstruction, improving ventilation in hot kitchens.
The operator installs the brackets first, using the pre-drilled holes and the supplied fixings. Once the brackets are level and secure, the shelves slide onto the bracket arms and lock into place. Items are then placed on the shelves, keeping the 50 kg maximum load evenly distributed. No further adjustment is needed during daily use; the shelves remain in position until the unit is dismantled for deep cleaning or reconfiguration.
The construction is stainless steel throughout, including the shelves, brackets and all fasteners. Stainless steel does not corrode when exposed to moisture, steam or cleaning chemicals, and its smooth surface sheds dirt rather than trapping it. The material meets food-hygiene standards, so the shelves can hold unpackaged ingredients or utensils that come into direct contact with food. The edges are rolled to prevent sharp corners, and the surfaces are free of crevices where debris could collect.
Two wall brackets support the shelves, each capable of carrying the full rated load. The shelves measure 500 mm in length, 500 mm in depth and the overall height from floor to the top shelf is 600 mm. This footprint suits standard worktop depths and allows the shelves to sit above most under-counter equipment without interfering with overhead extractor hoods.
The 50 kg load capacity applies to each shelf when the weight is spread evenly. This rating determines which items the shelves can safely hold: bulk ingredients in containers, stacked trays or heavy utensils. The weight also influences how the unit is moved and installed; a loaded shelf system requires two people or a lifting aid to position it without strain.
Cleaning is straightforward: the shelves lift off the brackets, and all parts wipe clean with a damp cloth and a mild detergent. Because there are no moving parts or electrical components, the system can be washed down with a hose or steam cleaner without risk of damage. The stainless steel surfaces dry quickly and do not require protective coatings or treatments.
The LSX2-50/50/60 is one configuration of the LSX modular system. Other shelf lengths and depths are available, and the manufacturer can produce custom sizes to match specific room layouts or workflow requirements. Project planning and installation services are offered for bespoke solutions, ensuring the shelving integrates with existing equipment and complies with local building codes.
The system is categorised under wall-mounted storage solutions for professional catering and food production environments.
