BHS stainless steel wall shelf. Modular and durable construction, adjustable length and depth dimensions, manufacturing according to individual drawings and projects.
The dual stainless-steel shelves keep heavy pots and sheet pans within arm's reach while freeing the counter below for prep and plating. The shelves are supported by brackets secured directly to the wall, transferring the weight of stored items into the building structure rather than the floor. This method keeps the area beneath the shelves clear for trolleys, bins or foot traffic, and allows the shelves to be positioned at a comfortable working height for staff reaching items while standing or moving between stations. The LSX2-60/40/60 system provides two shelves, each 600 mm wide and 400 mm deep, spaced 600 mm apart vertically. Items are placed directly on the shelves, which are flat and unobstructed, allowing trays, containers or loose ingredients to be slid on and off without tilting or spillage. The shelves remain stationary, so there is no movement or vibration when items are added or removed, and no risk of stored goods shifting during use. To install the system, two wall brackets are fixed to the wall at the required height, using appropriate fixings for the wall type. The shelves are then slotted onto the brackets and secured, creating a rigid structure that does not sway or flex under load. The operator loads each shelf with items up to the stated capacity, ensuring weight is distributed evenly across the surface. The shelves can be accessed from the front or sides, and items can be rearranged or removed as needed without dismantling the system. The construction is entirely stainless steel, including the shelves, brackets and all fastening components. Stainless steel does not corrode, discolour or react with moisture, steam or cleaning chemicals, so the system maintains its appearance and structural integrity over time. The surfaces are smooth and non-porous, preventing the accumulation of dirt, grease or bacteria, and allowing thorough cleaning with standard kitchen sanitising products. There are no crevices, joints or moving parts that trap debris, so maintenance is limited to wiping down the surfaces after use. The system is controlled by the operator's placement of items; there are no electrical or mechanical controls. The load capacity of 50 kg per shelf determines the maximum weight of stored items, which in practice means the system can hold bulk ingredients, stacked trays, small appliances or utensils without risk of deformation or failure. The footprint of 600 mm width and 400 mm depth indicates the space the system occupies on the wall, which must be clear of obstructions such as pipes, vents or light fittings. The overall height of 600 mm between shelves allows standard gastronorm trays or containers to be stored without stacking them too closely for safe retrieval. The LSX2-60/40/60 is one configuration of the LSX modular system, which is available in various widths and depths to suit different room layouts. Custom dimensions and additional shelves can be manufactured to order for specific projects, allowing the system to integrate with existing equipment and workflows. The system is categorised under professional shelving and storage solutions for catering and food production environments.
