BHS stainless steel wall shelf. Modular and durable construction, adjustable length and depth dimensions, manufacturing according to individual drawings and projects.
This stainless-steel shelf system holds full gastronorm trays on both tiers while keeping the prep surface below completely clear for rapid mise en place. The LSX2-90/40/60 unit uses two horizontal shelves supported by vertical brackets secured to the wall. This arrangement keeps ingredients, utensils or small equipment within arm's reach while freeing the work surface below for active preparation. The method is common in professional kitchens where every metre of floor area must earn its keep and workflows are organised around fixed stations. The operator installs the brackets first, levelling them to ensure the shelves sit perfectly horizontal. Once the brackets are fixed, the shelves slide into place and are locked with the supplied fasteners. No tools are needed for daily use; the shelves remain in position until the kitchen layout is reconfigured. Items are placed directly on the shelves, and the 50 kg load rating per shelf allows bulk ingredients, stacked containers or heavier appliances to be stored safely. Construction is entirely stainless steel, including the shelves, brackets and all fasteners. Stainless steel is chosen for its resistance to corrosion from moisture and cleaning chemicals, its ability to withstand repeated heat cycles without warping, and its compliance with food-safety regulations. The smooth, non-porous surfaces prevent dirt and bacteria from accumulating, making daily wiping and sanitising straightforward. The unit measures 900 mm in width, 400 mm in depth and 600 mm in height. These dimensions create a footprint that fits above standard worktops and below typical overhead cupboards, integrating neatly into existing kitchen layouts. The 900 mm width provides enough linear space for multiple containers or trays, while the 400 mm depth keeps items within easy reach without overhanging the work surface below. Cleaning is limited to wiping the shelves and brackets with a damp cloth and approved sanitiser. Because the system has no moving parts, no motors and no electrical components, maintenance is confined to checking that fasteners remain tight and that the wall fixings are secure. The LSX2-90/40/60 is one configuration of the LSX modular system. Other widths and depths are available, and the manufacturer offers full project planning, custom fabrication and on-site installation for kitchens requiring bespoke solutions. The system is categorised under professional shelving and storage for commercial kitchens and food-production facilities.
