BHS stainless steel wall shelf. Modular and durable construction, adjustable length and depth dimensions, manufacturing according to individual drawings and projects.
A wall-mounted storage system creates two fixed work levels without occupying floor space, keeping ingredients, utensils or tools within arm's reach while freeing the worktop for active tasks. The LSX2-90/50/60 from Novameta is a two-shelf configuration that fastens directly to the wall with two brackets, transferring the full load to the building structure rather than the floor. This arrangement is common in professional kitchens, food production lines and technical rooms where hygiene, stability and quick access are critical.
The principle is simple: a rigid frame of stainless-steel brackets and cross-bars supports two flat shelves at a fixed vertical spacing. The shelves themselves are solid stainless-steel plates with turned-down edges that prevent items sliding off and make cleaning easier. Because the system is wall-mounted, the space beneath remains clear for trolleys, bins or foot traffic, and the shelves can be positioned at a comfortable working height without interfering with other equipment. The turned-down edges also channel any spills or condensation towards the front, where it can be wiped away without dripping onto the shelf below.
To install the system, the operator marks the fixing points on the wall, drills and plugs the holes, then bolts the brackets in place. The shelves slide onto the brackets and are secured with locking pins or screws, depending on the variant. Once mounted, the shelves are loaded from the front: heavy or frequently used items go on the lower shelf, lighter or less frequently accessed items on the upper one. The 50 kg load rating per shelf allows bulk ingredients, stacked trays or heavy equipment to be stored safely without sagging or deformation.
Construction is entirely in stainless steel, including the brackets, cross-bars, shelves and all fasteners. The material is non-porous, corrosion-resistant and unaffected by moisture, steam or the detergents used in daily cleaning. The turned-down edges on the shelves eliminate sharp corners where dirt could collect, and the smooth surfaces can be wiped down or sanitised without disassembly. The brackets are designed to distribute the load evenly across the wall fixings, preventing point-loading that could damage the wall or cause the shelf to tilt.
The only controls are the locking pins or screws that secure the shelves to the brackets; once tightened, they prevent accidental removal or lateral movement. The 900 mm width and 500 mm depth give a footprint that fits between standard worktops or equipment runs, while the 600 mm overall height provides two usable levels without encroaching on headroom. The 50 kg load capacity per shelf means the system can support bulk containers, stacked gastronorm trays or heavy appliances such as mixers or blenders without risk of overloading.
Cleaning is straightforward: shelves are emptied, wiped with a damp cloth and sanitised with a food-safe detergent. The turned-down edges prevent liquid pooling, and the absence of crevices or joints means there are no hidden areas where bacteria could accumulate. The brackets and cross-bars are similarly smooth and can be cleaned in place without removing the shelves.
Variants of the LSX2 system are available in different widths and depths, allowing the same two-shelf configuration to be matched to specific room layouts or workflow requirements. Custom sizes and bespoke configurations can also be manufactured to order, including additional shelves, integrated lighting or specialised mounting hardware for uneven walls.
The LSX2-90/50/60 is categorised under wall-mounted storage systems in the Novameta professional catering equipment catalogue.
