A single-tier wall shelf creates a stable, accessible surface above the worktop without taking floor space. The shelf is fixed directly to the wall with brackets, transferring the load through the mounting points rather than resting on legs or a frame. The shelf is loaded from the front or the side, depending on the kitchen layout. Items are placed directly on the flat surface; there are no raised edges or dividers, so the full width and depth are usable.
