A single wall shelf creates a sturdy ledge above a worktop or between cupboards without taking floor space. The shelf is fixed directly to the wall with brackets, leaving the area below clear for trolleys, bins or foot traffic. In a professional kitchen this arrangement keeps ingredients, utensils or plated dishes within easy reach while keeping the work surface uncluttered.
The shelf is a flat tray of stainless steel that spans the full length without joints or seams. It is supported by brackets spaced along the wall; the load is spread across the brackets so that the shelf remains level even when fully loaded. Because the shelf is open underneath, air circulates freely, preventing condensation and making it easier to wipe down.
To install, mark the wall at the desired height, fix the brackets with suitable anchors, then slide the shelf onto the brackets and secure it. Once in place, the shelf can be loaded immediately. Items are placed directly on the flat surface; there are no lips or dividers, so the shelf can hold trays, boxes or loose items of any shape up to the rated weight.
The shelf is made of stainless steel, which resists corrosion from moisture, steam and cleaning chemicals. The surface is smooth and non-porous, so spills do not soak in and bacteria cannot lodge in crevices. The edges are rolled to prevent sharp corners and to add stiffness.
The 2300 mm length matches standard worktop runs and cupboard widths, allowing the shelf to align with existing units. The 300 mm depth provides enough space for most catering containers without overhanging into walkways. The 333 mm height from the wall to the front edge gives clearance for hands to reach underneath when wiping or loading.
The 40 kg load rating means the shelf can hold bulk ingredients, stacked plates or heavy equipment such as bain-maries or mixers. The rating applies to the entire shelf, so the load should be distributed evenly across the length.
Cleaning is straightforward: wipe the surface with a damp cloth and mild detergent, then dry. Because the shelf is open underneath, there are no hidden corners where dirt can collect. The stainless steel surface can be sanitised with standard kitchen chemicals without risk of damage.
The shelf is supplied as a single unit; no assembly is required beyond fixing the brackets to the wall.
