A freestanding metal worktop table provides a level, hygienic surface for food preparation, plating and assembly in a professional kitchen. The flat top acts as a stable base for chopping, mixing, garnishing and holding small appliances or containers. Because the table has no shelf, the underside remains open, allowing easy access for cleaning and leaving space for mobile trolleys or waste bins to slide underneath during service.
The table stands on four legs that raise the work surface to a standardised height of 900 mm, matching most kitchen counters and hobs. This height reduces bending and fatigue for staff during prolonged tasks. The legs are spaced to create a footprint of 2100 mm in length and 600 mm in depth, giving a continuous run of worktop without obstructions. The open design also allows multiple tables to be aligned end-to-end to form longer runs when kitchen layout requires it.
Construction is entirely in metal, chosen for durability and resistance to heat, moisture and cleaning chemicals. The material does not absorb odours or harbour bacteria, and it withstands the daily wear of knives, pots and utensils. The table requires no assembly beyond positioning; it is delivered ready to use and can be moved with a pallet truck or by two people lifting each end.
The 2100 mm length offers a generous expanse of uninterrupted work surface, allowing several staff to work side by side or a single chef to spread out ingredients and tools. The 600 mm depth keeps everything within easy reach without overreaching, and the 900 mm height aligns with adjacent equipment for a seamless workflow. The absence of a shelf or cupboard underneath simplifies cleaning and allows the table to be placed against a wall or in the centre of the kitchen as needed.
Cleaning is straightforward: the top and legs are wiped down with a sanitising solution after each service, and the open underside is swept or mopped without moving the table. The metal surface does not require sealing or special treatment, and the lack of joints or crevices reduces places where dirt can accumulate.
