Novameta Modular Shelving Unit 1700-6 for Professional Kitchens

A modular shelving unit organises dry stores, crockery or prepared ingredients without fixed cupboards. Vertical posts and horizontal beams form a rigid frame; shelves slide in at any height, so the space adapts to the items stored. The open construction allows air to circulate, reducing condensation and keeping supplies visible and accessible. Each shelf carries its load independently, so heavy items such as bulk tins or sacks of flour do not affect the stability of the unit above or below.

The operator assembles the frame first, then positions the shelves at the required heights. Once the shelf is slotted in, it is ready to receive the load. No tools are needed for height adjustment, so the layout can be changed quickly when storage needs shift. The open design also simplifies cleaning: shelves lift out for washing, and the frame can be wiped down without moving the unit.

The Novameta 1700-6 is built from AISI 304 stainless steel, welded and reinforced for strength. The 1700 mm width provides a long run for bulk storage, while the 600 mm depth keeps items within easy reach. At 1800 mm tall, the unit uses vertical space efficiently without exceeding standard worktop heights. Each shelf supports up to 120 kg, allowing heavy or dense items to be stored safely.

The footprint of 1700 x 600 mm fits against a wall or between workstations, and the open sides allow access from either direction. The unit can be extended by adding further modules side by side, creating a continuous run of shelving. A lowered version of 1600 mm height is available on request for areas with restricted headroom.

Cleaning involves removing the shelves, washing them separately, and wiping the frame with a damp cloth. The welded joints prevent dirt from accumulating in crevices, and the stainless steel resists corrosion from kitchen moisture. Custom sizes and designs can be manufactured to order, with delivery, installation and maintenance services provided.
