An open frame provides a rigid, level base for worktops, shelving or cupboard units in professional kitchens. It carries the load of equipment, ingredients and staff movement without flexing, while keeping the underside clear for cleaning and for legroom. The six legs spread the weight evenly across the floor, and their adjustable feet compensate for uneven surfaces so the top remains perfectly horizontal.
The frame is assembled on site and the worktop or shelves are fixed directly to its upper rails. Once installed, the open construction allows air to circulate freely beneath, preventing moisture build-up and making it simple to wipe down the floor and the frame itself. There are no enclosed spaces to trap dirt or harbour pests.
To use the frame, position it where the work surface is needed, adjust each leg until the top is level, then secure the worktop or shelving unit to the rails with the fixings supplied. The height can be fine-tuned later if the floor or the load changes.
The frame is constructed from stainless steel for corrosion resistance and long service life in a wet, greasy environment. Its 2400 mm length and 600 mm width create a standard worktop footprint that matches most catering equipment, while the adjustable height of 835 to 900 mm allows it to fit beneath existing counters or to be set at a comfortable working level.
Cleaning is straightforward: wipe the frame with a damp cloth and a mild detergent, paying attention to the joints and the underside of the rails where dust and grease can collect. The open design means there are no hidden corners that require special tools or deep cleaning routines.
