Novameta Rear Panel for Metal Shelving Units

A rear panel transforms an open metal shelf into a secure storage unit by closing the back and preventing items from slipping off. The panel attaches vertically between the uprights, creating a continuous barrier that also reinforces the entire frame against lateral movement. This added rigidity allows the shelf to carry heavier loads without sagging or shifting, which is essential in busy kitchens where stock is constantly accessed and replenished.

Fitting the panel is a straightforward process. The operator positions the panel against the rear uprights of the shelf, aligning the pre-drilled holes with the corresponding slots on the frame. Fixing screws or clips are then inserted and tightened, securing the panel in place. Once installed, the panel remains in position, requiring no further adjustment unless the shelf is dismantled or reconfigured.

Constructed from the same metal as the shelving unit, the panel matches the durability and finish of the frame. It is designed to integrate seamlessly with Novameta's MP4, STP4 and STS4 ranges, ensuring a consistent appearance and structural compatibility. The panel's height corresponds to the depth of the shelf, providing full coverage without obstructing access from the front or sides.

This rear panel is specified for use with two shelves of 1600 mm width, ensuring the correct fit for standard catering storage configurations.
