A single wall shelf creates a stable, accessible surface above the worktop without taking floor space. It is fixed directly to the wall with brackets, leaving the area below clear for trolleys, bins or foot traffic. The shelf itself is a flat tray that carries plates, containers, utensils or ingredients within easy reach of the chef. Because it is mounted at eye level or slightly above, items are visible and can be picked without bending or stretching, reducing fatigue during long service periods.

The shelf is loaded by placing items on its flat surface. There are no moving parts; the shelf remains stationary once installed. The operator arranges the load so that heavier items are centred and lighter ones are placed towards the edges to keep the weight evenly distributed. The maximum stated load of 40 kg means the shelf can hold a full gastronorm tray, several stacked plates or a row of ingredient containers without sagging or risking the fixings.

Construction is a single tray of formed sheet metal, sized 1000 mm wide, 500 mm deep and 330 mm high. The depth of 500 mm allows two standard 1/1 gastronorm containers to sit side by side, or a single 1/1 container with space for smaller items around it. The height of 330 mm is the distance from the wall to the front edge, giving clearance for hands and utensils to reach items without obstruction. The width of 1000 mm provides enough linear space for a full mise en place or for storing frequently used tools within arm's reach.

Cleaning is straightforward: the flat surface is wiped down with a damp cloth or sanitiser after each service. There are no crevices or moving parts to trap debris, so upkeep is limited to removing dust and spills from the tray and checking the wall fixings periodically for tightness.
