A single wall shelf provides a fixed horizontal surface mounted directly to the wall, freeing the floor and worktop space beneath. The shelf carries plates, containers, tins and dry stores without sagging, while the open underside allows air to circulate and keeps the area below usable for other tasks. The shelf is secured to the wall with brackets that transfer the weight to the building structure. Once fixed, the shelf remains level and stable, giving a predictable place for items that need to be reached quickly during service. The flat surface keeps items from rolling or sliding, and the absence of legs or supports on the floor makes sweeping and mopping straightforward. To install, the wall is marked at the desired height, brackets are fixed into the masonry, and the shelf is lowered onto the brackets and locked in place. Items are then placed on the shelf; heavier loads are distributed evenly to avoid overloading any single bracket. When service is finished, the shelf is cleared and wiped down with a damp cloth. Construction is stainless steel throughout, chosen for its resistance to corrosion, heat and moisture in a kitchen environment. The material does not absorb odours, is easy to sanitise, and maintains its appearance over years of use. The shelf measures 1500 mm in length, 500 mm in depth and 330 mm in height from the wall. The 1500 mm span allows multiple items to be stored side by side, while the 500 mm depth provides enough room for larger containers without encroaching on the aisle. The 330 mm height from the wall gives clearance for hands to reach items at the back without knocking those at the front. The shelf is rated to support a distributed load of 40 kg. This capacity means it can hold several full gastronorm containers, stacks of plates, or bulk ingredients in sealed bags without bending or compromising the fixings. Cleaning is limited to wiping the shelf surface and the visible parts of the brackets with a damp cloth and mild detergent. The solid steel bracket anchors directly into masonry, holding pans and trays without sagging or swaying during daily service.
