A single wall shelf creates a fixed work surface or storage tier that clears floor space in a professional kitchen. The shelf is mounted directly to the wall with brackets, transferring the load through the wall structure rather than resting on legs or a base. This arrangement leaves the area beneath the shelf free for trolleys, bins or foot traffic, while the shelf itself holds ingredients, utensils or small appliances within easy reach of the chef.
The shelf is a flat, horizontal tray without sides or dividers. Items placed on it must be stable or contained in bins; there is no lip to prevent spills. Because the shelf is open on all sides, air circulates freely, helping to keep stored items dry and cool. The absence of front or side panels also makes the shelf quick to wipe down and keeps the worktop visible from any angle.
To install the shelf, brackets are first secured to the wall at the desired height. The shelf is then lowered onto the brackets and fixed in place. Once mounted, the shelf remains stationary; it cannot be adjusted for height or angle without remounting the brackets. The operator loads the shelf from the front or sides, placing items directly on the tray. The 40 kg load capacity applies to the entire shelf surface, so weight should be distributed evenly to avoid overloading any single bracket.
Construction is stainless steel throughout, including the tray and brackets. Stainless steel resists corrosion from moisture and cleaning chemicals, does not absorb odours and can be sanitised at high temperatures. The surface is smooth and non-porous, so spills do not penetrate and can be wiped away without staining.
The shelf has no controls or moving parts. Its dimensions—1500 mm wide, 300 mm deep and 333 mm high—define the space it occupies on the wall and the area available for storage. The 1500 mm width allows the shelf to span the length of a standard worktop or hob, while the 300 mm depth keeps items within arm's reach without overhanging into the walkway. The 333 mm height is the vertical clearance from the wall to the underside of the shelf, determining how much space remains above it for taller items or additional shelving.
Cleaning is limited to wiping the tray and brackets with a damp cloth or sanitising wipe. Because there are no seams, joints or moving parts, there are no crevices where food debris or grease can accumulate. The stainless steel surface can be disinfected with standard kitchen sanitisers without risk of damage.
This is the single version of the Novameta wall shelf, with no variants or additional tiers. It is a fixed accessory for professional kitchens, not a spare part for specific equipment.
